Family Friendly Hangouts

Being in Bali with the family means eating, beach time, and fun things in between. It’s also about finding amazing places to go with the kiddos while parents enjoy a great brunch. There are few lovely places for dinner destinations where little ones are welcome.

Milk & Madu Canggu
They serve excellent breakfast choices such as skillet eggs, pancake stacks, or superfood bowls. Their coffee is perfect to start your morning. There’s a picket fence and flowery garden view where kids enjoy running around or take books and toys into a cute teepee tent. They give out coloring sheets and crayons to keep the kids busy. There are a few activities on the weekends, such as arts & crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, and musical entertainment.

The Joglo Canggu
This is a little kiddie paradise of a treehouse slide, monkey bars, swings, seesaw and a trampoline. There are toys, beanbags, and a sandbox for those who want some quiet time. They have an extensive menu and an interesting food mix, while moms can take some time for Pilates or shop in the market. A great space for some family downtime.

Ku De Ta, Seminyak
Ku De Ta is best known for its luxurious pool-side cocktail sipping, but not on Sunday. Sundays are when the little ones take over! The exciting activities they offer include swimming in the shallow pool, playing on the beach, jumping on the bouncy castle, getting face-painted, and getting busy in the arts and crafts tent. There is lots of stuff to share for the food selection with the whole family, including pizzas, sandwiches, sushi, and bread, plus healthy lunch options for the kids.

Biku, Seminyak
Biku offers a lavish high tea daily. There is a special kid’s high tea and the adult version, where the food is presented on a classy three-tiered plate. Just in case you worry about all that sugar from cakes, scones, and jams for the little ones, they also offer a protein option such as ham and peanut butter sandwiches and spinach quiche.

Snorkeling Experience in Bali

Amed is located in the northeast of Bali Island, about 120km from the airport, roughly three hours’ drive. In the past, Amed was an area famous as a sea salt manufacturer. But nowadays, Amed is more famous as an area for diving and snorkeling. The calm black sand bay of Amed is home to beautiful reefs with soft and hard corals and a variety of fish. There are two famous spots in Amed where you can start your snorkeling experience: Jemeluk Bay and Japanese Ship Wreck. Snorkeling in Amed is recommended, as it is the easiest way to see and explore Bali’s underwater world.

Jemeluk Bay
Jemeluk Bay does not have big waves and strong current, and this is the best place for you if you are go snorkeling for the first time, as you don’t need to rent a boat, walk straight from the shore and you will see lots of big and colorful fishes swimming around you.
The unique thing you can find in Jemeluk Bay is an underwater post office, a home for fishes. The local people added it as a part of the snorkeling attraction in the bay.

Japanese Shipwreck
One of the Japanese shipwrecks from World War II is located only 15 minutes from Jemeluk Bay. The Japanese shipwreck is covered in growth, with staghorn corals on the shallow part of the wreck playing host to a variety of fish, crabs, starfish, and other tropical critters.
A shipwreck is also an excellent place for beginners who want to learn to dive because the waves are not too big and the water is very clear.
There are so many spots here in Amed either to do snorkeling or diving, and you can easily find a restaurant near the beach (rent snorkeling equipment), you can drop your bags there, go snorkeling, and when you got hungry, the restaurant is just in front of you.
